A nature lover's dream, this area offers a wonderful range of birds to observe and wildlife including seals, otters, minke whales, eagles, buzzards, and deer.

There are lots to do within walking distance of the house, such as costal walks, inland walks, visit the Balachuan reserve, trips on boats, fabulous meals at the island restaurants. There is also a nine-hole golf course in Balvicar.

If you want to go by bus to Oban this can be done on an open top bus or using the local bus service.

In addition there is a full range of things to do in Oban or visiting surrounding islands such as Mull or Kerrera. A welcome book and visitors pack gives you more information and leaflets to read at the cottage.
